Opening Question:
Describe briefly what your childhood was like. What is one positive memory you have growing up?
Digging Deeper:
Read Matthew 18:1-14- What stands out to you in these verses? If you feel discouraged, where do you see hope in this passage?
How do our insecurities affect us as parents, grandparents or in our relationships?
Life Application
Why is it so important for the family to be the primary place where children learn about God? What are the struggles of this for families?
“If you want to be great you must be like a child” How could you practice trusting God this week?
What are some of the negative influences that get passed onto children in your lives?
Rob mentioned several positive practices. (Taking time to pray, read, talk, show that you are not perfect, set example with Church/God, Quality time, Positive affection, having fun/being silly, etc.) What area would be helpful for you as a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, friend, volunteer?
Who were some of the key people that made a difference in your life growing up? How do you see God using you to make a difference in Children’s lives other than your own?
