Life Group Questions
Opening Question:
Is there something in your life that God has been teaching you or speaking to you about that you would be willing to share with the group?
Digging Deeper:
1. Read Galatians 3:1-14. What stands out to you in these verses? Why does Paul call the Galatians “foolish”?
2. What is Paul saying in verses 1-5 about how we continue on in our Christian journey?
3. Read Galatians 3:15-29. What stands out to you in these verses? The Christians in Galatia were being told to keep the Law in order to gain life, righteousness, and favor from God. Why is it important to understand that God is the one who saves and not the law? How does our thinking need to be transformed to align with the truth of the gospel?
Life Application
1. The first point Rob shared was about how the promise of God still stands. What are some of the promises of God that you know you can stand on? Why are these important at times for us to remind ourselves of?
2. How does the law in some ways give us freedom and point us to our need for Jesus?
3. What does it mean to you that you are a child of God? What things in life can discourage you or sometimes make you forget that truth? What things help to remind you of that truth? (see verses 26-27).
4. Rob challenged us to be children who help children. What are some ways you can live out your faith so others can see who God is? What things keep you from sharing this or keep people from believing this?
5. The last few verses of Galatians chapter 3 talk about how we are all one in Christ Jesus. Why is unity so important to God? How have you seen disunity hurt the church or others? How have you seen unity displayed in a good way?
Spend time praying for each other.
