Kids Play Basketball Registration
Registration Opens September 01

Our Kids Play Basketball program is BACK! You have the opportunity to help children and families find and follow Jesus through Kids Play Basketball by coaching a team, being a referee, helping with the snack bar or setting up. Make a difference in the life of a child and be blessed by the experience! You can sign up to be a Difference Maker by going to wilshireave.com/basketball and click on “Be A Difference Maker”. Registration for children will start on September 1.

Staff Update

Church, we have some bittersweet news. Pastor Sekwohn and Joel will both be transitioning to pursue new opportunities. Above is a video update. We will miss them both. We are so grateful for all of the ways they have been a blessing to our church. Both have impacted many lives in our community and we are thankful for them. Although it isn’t easy, we truly are happy for them and their wives.

Pastor Rob and Pastor Kellie will help oversee the transition for our WA Students so they can continue to receive the love and care they need to grow in their faith. Angie will help take on some of Joel’s responsibilities in the office. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions. We hope you will celebrate, honor, pray for and bless these two men as they transition.

GriefShare 

Tuesdays from 6:30pm – 8:30pm Starting on September 7
This has been a tough season, we all have things to grieve. GriefShare, is a support group for people grieving any kind of loss. GriefShare, is a 12 week class that helps give you tools to process your grief. You can sign up at wilshireave.com/griefshare. Email griefshare@wilshireave.com for more information.

Raymond Elementary- Garden Mentorship Program

Starting This Month!
As part of our partnership with Raymond Elementary you have the opportunity to be a Difference Maker throughout next school year. We are looking for adults to be part of the Garden Mentorship program where you will meet weekly with a Raymond Elementary student to garden together and mentor them. Email sylvia@wilshireave.com to let us know you’re interested.

Raymond Serve Day Postponed

We are postponing the Raymond Serve Day so that the school is able to lay some groundwork to make the garden even more of a success during the school year. We will keep you updated when we schedule the next Serve Day. In the mean time we’d love for you to consider being a mentor during this Fall.

Be a Difference Maker

There are so many ways for you to make a difference both here at Wilshire and in our community. On Sunday mornings you can help us with set up, tear down and part of our connection team. Or during the week you can help us prepare for Sunday mornings in many different ways. We also have opportunities to serve in the community. If you’re interested we would love to have you join the team and see what God can do through you.
