Sermon Series – The Portrait

A great portrait is not just a picture of a person, it captures a person’s essence. It tells a greater story. A masterpiece can be observed and enjoyed for years to come. As a community of followers of Jesus, we are His representation to the world. He has chosen to make his appeal to the world through us. What if we could truly represent Christ to the world? What if we could be a portrait that portrays his love, mercy and kindness? What would we look like and what would we need to do to get there?

Baptism // SEP 18

Baptism is an important step in following Jesus. It symbolizes one’s death to sin, burial of the old life, and a resurrection to new life in Christ. Just as Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose to life again. Jesus commanded His followers to make disciples and to baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We will be holding baptisms at church on September 18th.If you are interested in getting baptized please email office@wilshireave.com

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”      – Matthew 28-18:20
