Save the date // Christmas at Wilshire
We are excited to celebrate Christmas with all of you! This is the time we get to celebrate the birth of our Savior!
This also is the time we can truly love our friends, neighbors and family and invite them to hear the good news. Who are your 8-15 that would be blessed to hear about the birth of Jesus? Studies have shown that many people would go to church if someone invited them.
- Wed. Dec. 21st at 6:00pm (Dinner After)
- Sat. Dec. 24th at 3:00 & 4:30pm
Christmas Day Service
- Sunday Dec. 25th at 11:00am (one service together).

How to Survive the Holidays// Monday, DEC 12
6:30 – 8:30PM in the Conference Room
Surviving the Holidays is very difficult for those with losses. When you are separated from your spouse: you have to develop new traditions; new ways to communicate,; and new ways to share the kids. The kids love this time of year, but are frequently in a state of sadness and confusion. Many children, wrongly believe that it is “their fault”.
Here at Wilshire, we want to meet the needs of all people, young and old. Learning how to handle the holidays and create special moments is extremely taxing, when doing it without a partner. On December 12, Monday, from 6:30 till 8:00 pm we will have a special class with Hope from GriefShare, for the kids called DCK (divorce care for kids). It will be held next door to the adult separated individuals who need help from the Lord on how to live with joy, and do more than survive at this Christmas season. There will be no cost for participants. If you are interested please contact Linda Johnson lindaj51@live.com or Hope Lantz at hope.lantz@gmail.com.
LIGHTS children’s choir, for ages 4-11 // Sundays

Get Connected to a Life Group
Our Life groups at Wilshire Avenue are a great way to get connected and grow together with others in your journey with Christ. We have groups that meet on different days and times throughout the week and would love to help get you connected to a group that works for you. We will begin sign ups on Sunday, August 28th and we encourage you to stop by the Start Here booth on the plaza to meet some of the leaders and sign up for a group. You can also sign up at www.wilshireave.com/groups!

Colombia Church Plant
God is doing amazing things at the church we helped plant in Colombia. The building is currently under construction but that hasn’t stopped the believers there. The church is making a difference in the community and meeting under a tree to worship and have service. Please continue to pray for Colombia as their COVID numbers have increased recently.
