We’ll also hear briefly from Peggy Langin, a trusted State Farm agent and Wilshire member, who will return as our main speaker in September. Don’t miss it!

Pio Pico Historic Park & Lunch at Kalaveras!
Come join JOY for a fun and meaningful day as we explore Pio Pico Historic Park and enjoy delicious Mexican food at Kalaveras! We’ll learn some fascinating California history at one of Southern California’s few remaining 19th-century adobe homes — the restored residence of Pío Pico, the last Governor of California under Mexican rule.
After the tour, we’ll head to Kalaveras for lunch and fellowship. Both the park and the restaurant are accessible to those with disabilities!

Please join us as we gather to remember and celebrate the beautiful life of Sue Sherard—a beloved friend, family member, and cherished part of our community.
The memorial service will take place on Sunday, May 18, at 3:00 PM at Wilshire Avenue Community Church. Together, we will honor her memory, reflect on the impact she made, and find comfort in one another’s presence.
A reception will follow at the Assistance League of Fullerton, located at 233 West Amerige Avenue, Fullerton, CA. All are welcome.

With both sorrow and gratitude, we share that Doris Winters went home to be with the Lord yesterday at the remarkable age of 102. Doris was a cherished member of our church family whose warmth, faith, and gentle spirit touched countless lives over the years.
As we grieve her passing, we also celebrate the extraordinary life she lived — a life marked by love, devotion, and an unwavering trust in God. Doris’s legacy of kindness and grace will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Please lift her family in your prayers during this time, that they may be comforted by God’s peace and the hope we have in Christ. We will share details about her memorial service as they become available.

Our Life groups at Wilshire Avenue are a great way to get connected and grow together with others in your journey with Christ. We have groups that meet on different days and times throughout the week and would love to help get you connected to a group that works for you. We will begin sign ups on Sunday, August 28th and we encourage you to stop by the Start Here booth on the plaza to meet some of the leaders and sign up for a group. Colombia Church Plant
God is doing amazing things at the church we helped plant in Colombia. The building is currently under construction but that hasn’t stopped the believers there. The church is making a difference in the community and meeting under a tree to worship and have service. Please continue to pray for Colombia as their COVID numbers have increased recently.
