Life Group Questions
Opening Question:

Share about your best friend growing up.  Are you still friends today?

Digging Deeper:

Read Matthew 9:11-13. What is Jesus purpose?
Have a few different people read the following verses:

Proverbs 27:17, Luke 6:32-36, James 3:17-18- What stands out to you in these verses when it comes to friendships/relationships?

Life Application

Describe a meaningful friendship in your life that has pointed you closer to God.
What does it mean to you to be a good friend to someone? What qualities do you look for in a friend?
How could you practice loving those who are different than you? What would it look like? How would this impact your faith?
We have talked before about our sphere of influence and the 8-15 people God has placed in our lives. Take a moment on your phone or with a piece of paper and write out your 8-15.  How do you see God working in those relationships?
In James 3:17-18 it describes 8 characteristics of wisdom. How do you see these as important in relationships? Which ones would you like to grow in? –Pure – Peace loving – Considerate – Submissive – Full of mercy – Good fruit – Impartial – Sincere

Thank God for your life group. Continue to pray that you would point each other to Jesus (As iron sharpens iron) and pray that your love would go beyond to all of your 8-15’s.
