It is giving up my right to seek revenge for the offense… It is not denying the offense
It is releasing my right to dispense justice… It is not minimizing the offense
It is letting go of bitterness… It is not forgetting
It is dependent on God’s grace… It is not dependent on the other person
It is freedom… It is not necessarily restoration
