1. Read Mark 16: 1-8. What stands out to you in these verses? Why are these verses so important to our faith?
2. Describe the women’s thoughts and emotions as they experience the events recorded in these verses. What do you think was going through their minds?
3. Why do you think the angel singles out Peter as the one who is especially to be told about Jesus’ resurrection?
Life Application
1. What makes Christianity different from every other religion for you?
2. Though Jesus had talked about it a lot, it seems no one expected that Jesus would deliver them through death and resurrection. For you personally, what is so important about Jesus’ resurrection from the dead? How does it impact our lives?
3. How would you say your life is centered on Jesus? What changes/adjustments do you need to make to help it be more centered on Jesus?
4. Imagine how alone and discouraged the disciples and early followers felt. How do we deal with those feelings of loneliness and discouragement when they creep in our lives?
5. Rob reminded us that the Resurrection is only the beginning and that there is more to come in what God wants to do in our lives. What are some of the things you see God doing in your life or wanting to do in your life? How can you begin to be more open to that?
