Father (Dad), You are simply amazing!

Would you help us to be aware of how you are working today? Help us to love and bring hope to the people we see today.

Provide for us the things we need, and help us not to worry about the things we don’t. Forgive us for the ways we fall short. Protect us from the enemy.

Help us to simply love each other well today.

We trust you, we love you and want more of you in our lives.

Opening Question:

Is there a place you go to, or are drawn to, when you need refreshment and rest?

Digging Deeper:

1. Read Luke 10:27. What stands out to you in this verse? What does it mean for us to love God with all our soul and have our soul centered on Jesus?

2. Read Psalm 62:1-2. Why is it so important for our souls to find rest in God alone? How does your soul find rest in God?

Life Application

1. How would you assess the level of hurry to your soul right now? Is it very high, moderate, or low?

2. When are you most likely to give in to hurry and to lose the ability to be fully present with God and others? What changes can you make to help with this?

3. Have you ever tried to find meaning and purpose apart from Jesus? What kinds of things did you pursue in order satisfy the longing of your soul? Was the result really satisfying?

4. When you look around at our world, what kinds of things do you see people pursuing in order to fill their lives with meaning and purpose? Do any of these things really satisfy?

5. One of the points Rob shared about was the importance of Praying Together. What are some things you learned from this? How has it been an encouragement for you to pray with others?

6. How have you seen prayer help you with anxiety/worry? What about helping you to align your heart with God and His plans for you?
