Who is someone in your life you would consider to be wise? Why?

1. Read James 3:13-18- What stands out to you in these verses?
2. Look again at verse 17 and the adjectives used to describe the wisdom from above. How would you summarize those qualities?
3. According to James how does one demonstrate that they are wise? According to the world how does one demonstrate that they are wise?
Life Application
1. Which of the qualities of godly wisdom from verse 17 do you most need to work on? How will you do it?
2. How does the gospel of Jesus help rid your heart of “bitter envy and selfish ambition”?
3. Who are some of the people in your life you would go to for wisdom? In what way can we help each other be wise?
4. What is an area in your life in which you need to demonstrate more of God’s wisdom?
5. How do we begin to make changes in our lives to get rid of earthly wisdom and rely more on God’s wisdom?
6. What would our church/community begin to look like if we started to truly seek God’s wisdom?
