Life Group Questions
Opening Question:
1. Where in your life have you recently seen God at work?
Digging Deeper:
1. Read Hebrews 12:1. What stands out to you in this verse? What are some of the things in life that can hinder us?
2. The “witnesses” are the heroes of the past who were previously mentioned in chapter 11. How can the example of those who have gone before us, help bring us hope and encouragement? Who are some of the heroes in your life that have helped you on your faith journey?
Life Application
1. The first point Rob talked about was the importance of letting go of bitterness and resentment. Why is it such a struggle for us at times to let go? What are some ways we can grow in this area? (See Hebrews 12:15)
2. Next was to let go of worry and anxiety. How do you feel like you do in this area? What are some things that help you to let go of worry and anxiety in your life? (See 2 Timothy 1:7 and I Peter 5:7)
3. Third was to let go of guilt and past failures. How can these things hinder us from what God may have for us? How have you seen God use past failures for good? (See Psalm 32:3-5)
4. What are some of the things you need to “shake off” and stand on God’s promises? (See chart in notes)
5. Luke 10:20 reminds us that, we are to “rejoice that our names are written in heaven” and we get to spend eternity in heaven. Why is this so important for us to remember and celebrate? How does this help to bring hope in your life, especially during difficult times?
