Life Group Questions
Opening Question:
What is your favorite type of fruit?
Digging Deeper:
1. Read Galatians 5:16-26. What stands out to you in these verses? Look at verse 17. What is the conflict between the sinful nature and the Spirit?
2. How should the fruits of the spirit affect all the areas of our lives? (verses 22-23)
Life Application
1. What does it look like for the Holy Spirit to be our guide? What ways do you create space in your life on a regular basis to allow the Holy Spirit to guide you?
2. Spend some time reflecting upon each of the fruits of the spirit (verses 22-23). Why is it important for us to view all of these together, rather than just individually? What does it look like for our lives to be fruitful for God?
3. Where have you seen the fruit of the Spirit evident in your life this week? Or not evident in your life this week? Remember as Rob shared, producing fruit in our lives is a process and it is going to happen, but we also have to do some work. Are there some areas you want to grow in? What can you begin to do on your end?
4. Rob challenged us to be “Rooted in Grace” and to “Examine our desires”, why are these both important for us to remember? What happens when we neglect these things?
5. What can you do this week or in the near future to show more of the Spirit’s fruit in your life? Who do you need to show God’s love and grace to this week?
