We can be a Kid

Gal. 4:6-7

Call out to “Abba”, our Dad.
“Call out” is to have a Warm Conversation with God.
“Call out” is about experiencing God’s Presence.
Crying out to “Abba” is knowing that We Are Loved
Practice this week:

Spend time hearing from him.
Remind yourself that you are loved.
Cry out to him like a kid.

What was one of your favorite toys when you were a child?

Digging Deeper:

1. Read Galatians 4:1-7. What stands out to you in these verses? What does it mean that God has made us an “heir”?

2. Read Galatians 4: 8-20. What stands out to you in these verses? How would you summarize Paul’s concern for the Galatians?

3. Read Galatians 4:21-31. What stands out to you in these verses? What parallel did Paul draw between Abraham’s two sons and the two covenants between God and man? (4:22-28)

Life Application

1. Why is it important to understand who we once were before Christ? How would you describe your life prior to Christ?

2. Rob pointed out how we can come to God as our “Abba” Father. What does that mean to you? What’s the difference between knowing God and being known by God? Why is each critical?

3. What does it look like to live as children of God? What are some of the ways that help you connect with God? How are you doing at spending time with Him in study and prayer?

4. Why is unity so important to God? How do we work toward growing in our unity as a church?

5. How can we grow in seeing people who may be different than us as children of God? What does it look like to love others that may be different than you? Does that mean we have to agree with them on everything?
