Financial Peace University // OCT 20

We are excited to announce that Financial Peace University (FPU) will start on Sunday, October 20! This is your opportunity to take control of your finances and learn biblical principles for managing the resources God has entrusted to you.
FPU is a class designed for the entire family, with kids learning healthy financial practices as well. We’ve seen firsthand how FPU can transform lives, and we want you to experience that change.

Heart of Downtown Golf Tournament

Our Annual Heart of Downtown Golf Tournament will be on Monday, October 28th. This is the one major fundraiser that we do each year to fund our Heart of Downtown Ministries. The funds we raise at this tournament enable us to make a difference and have a heart for our cities. If you are interested in attending to play, sponsor or just have dinner please register here

Heart of Downtown
October Food Co-op Needs: We are so thankful for all the support of so many people for our food co-op. For the month of October we are asking for Peanut butter and Jelly please. All donations can be brought to the bins outside of the office during the week or on Sunday mornings. Thank you so much for all your support!

WA Kids Fall-O-Ween Jesus // OCT 27
WA Kids is hosting a Fall-O-Ween event on Sunday, October 27, right after the 10:30 am service! Here’s a quick overview of what to expect and how to get involved:
Event Highlights:
- Carnival Games, Food, and Crafts
- A fun time for the kids, perfect for inviting a friend to join in!
How to Get Involved:
- Difference Makers Needed: Help with carnival booths and pass out candy.
- Candy Donations: Can be brought to the church office or placed in candy bins in the church plaza by October 20th.

2024-2025 Kids Play Basketball
We are thrilled to announce that registration for the 2024-2025 Kids Play Basketball season is now open!
This league is designed for kids currently in Kindergarten through 6th grade (up to age 12).
Do you know families in your community where you live, work, or play who might want to be part of our league? Invite them to join the fun! Our league offers a positive environment where kids can grow in their basketball skills and learn the value of teamwork.

Ecclesiastes – The Search for the Meaning of Life // OCT 27
9am in Room 304
King Solomon was probably the most powerful, the richest, the smartest and most sought after man of his time. This book is his journal where he documents his search for meaning, fulfillment and satisfaction. It is sort of like a TED talk on satisfaction and meaning given by a man who had everything he wanted. He shares his pursuits of wealth and riches; wisdom and knowledge; wine, women and laughter; and working hard. He also asks, “How does God fit into the meaning of life?” What he discovers is surprising and it makes one question why this book is included in the Bible. So if you have been searching for meaning or direction and want to know what is really important, come to this 8 week study on the book of Ecclesiastes starting Sunday October 27 at 9am in room 304.

Bible Memory Flashcard // TMS
Growth is Our Goal – Memorize God’s Word As Pastor Rob mentioned, If you want to memorize Scripture but aren’t sure what to memorize or how, the Topical Memory System is a great way to begin your journey to store God’s Word in your heart. It’s simple and easy-to-use — and will help you memorize key verses that point to basic truths and important instruction.
The TMS focuses on how to live a life of Christ-focused, assured discipleship, and the TMS: Life Issues focuses on significant, relevant issues that face us on the road through life, such as anger, dealing with sin, suffering, and knowing God’s will. Link Here
Get Connected to a Life Group
Our Life groups at Wilshire Avenue are a great way to get connected and grow together with others in your journey with Christ. We have groups that meet on different days and times throughout the week and would love to help get you connected to a group that works for you. We will begin sign ups on Sunday, August 28th and we encourage you to stop by the Start Here booth on the plaza to meet some of the leaders and sign up for a group. Colombia Church Plant
God is doing amazing things at the church we helped plant in Colombia. The building is currently under construction but that hasn’t stopped the believers there. The church is making a difference in the community and meeting under a tree to worship and have service. Please continue to pray for Colombia as their COVID numbers have increased recently.

Sponsor A Child In The Dominican Republic
Children in the Dominican Republic are living on less than $2 a day. There are 31 more children at the new student center attached to the church plant that are waiting to be sponsored.
