Witnesses Sermon Series

We are continuing our sermon series this Sunday in Acts called “Witnesses”. In Acts, we get to see how the new community of Christ followers live, love and share the Good News that is rooted in Christ’s resurrection. The Holy Spirit moves powerfully among them as they trust Him and are led by Him. 

On the first day of the week we came together to break bread.” – Acts 20:7

Breaking bread was a crucial part of the church’s gathering. As a community, during this series, we want to break bread (take communion) together each Sunday. This is a great time for us to remember what the Lord has done, to remember how Jesus nourishes us, and to remember to look forward to Christ’s return. We are excited to see where God leads us as we lean into Him, and continue to make Jesus’s life, death and resurrection the center of our lives.

Celebrate Baptism

Let’s celebrate this beautiful baptisms we had this Sunday where a few of our WA Kids affirmed their faith in Christ. If you didn’t get to witness them on Sunday you can watch the video above.

Colombia Church Plant

God is doing amazing things at the church we helped plant in Colombia. The building is currently under construction but that hasn’t stopped the believers there. The church is making a difference in the community and meeting under a tree to worship and have service. If you missed the video on Sunday you can watch it above.

Parenting Through The Phases Workshop 

You have approximately 936 weeks from the time your child is born until he or she graduates from high school. It goes by fast, and kids change and grow quickly. It’s as if they shift or move on just as you’re starting to figure them out. It all makes the responsibility to shape a child’s faith and character feel overwhelming. This workshop will give you some tools and resources to maneuver through each phase. July 21st, July 28th & August 4th 9-11:30.
 

WA Kids Summer Nights (3rd – 5th Grade)

Our 3rd – 5th graders are invited to “Summer Nights” every Wednesday in June and July from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. They will be able to hang out with their friends and grow in their faith. Register for Summer Nights using the Summer Registration Form.
 

WA Students Summer Nights (6th – 12th Grade)

Our 6th – 12 graders will meet every Wednesday starting on June 9th where they will have a fun Summer Kick Off party! These will be all summer long from 7 – 8:30 pm.

Serve Day at Raymond Elementary

We want to thank everyone who participated on Serve day last Saturday. This Love Fullerton project is a part of a larger goal to partner with Raymond Elementary throughout the year to love their students and staff. 
 

Garden Mentorship Program

Starting August 2021
As part of our larger partnership with Raymond Elementary you have the opportunity to be a Difference Maker throughout next school year. We are looking for adults to be part of the Garden Mentorship program where you will meet weekly to garden with a Raymond Elementary student that has been recommended by the school to benefit from the program. This one on one opportunity provides an excellent opportunity to love the next generation. Email sylvia@wilshireave.com to let us know you’re interested.

Global Leadership Summit

August 5 & 6

We will be hosting GLS again and we would love to have you join us. GLS will be Thursday and Friday, August 5th and 6th this year so you can save the date.
