Easter is almost here! Be sure to invite your neighbors, friends, and family to join us at our 9am traditional service or 10:30am contemporary service. WA Kids will be having a Peeps party with activities designed specifically for them. We can’t wait to see you this Easter!

Good Friday // MAR 29

As a reminder, our Good Friday Service will be at 5:30 pm.  We will be taking Communion and remembering the sacrifice that Jesus made for us because of his great love for us. WA Kids will be meeting as well.

Palm Sunday // MAR 24

Heart of Downtown

March Food Co-op Needs: We are so thankful for all the support of so many people for our food co-op. For the month of March we are in need of Jelly. All donations can be brought to the bins outside of the office during the week or on Sunday mornings. Thank you so much for all your support!

Costume & Clothing Collection

This ministry seeks to provide new and/or gently used clothing & children’s costumes to support “Radiant Futures” – a local shelter- as well as the Heart of Downtown. You may be asking yourself why children’s costumes, in addition to men, women, and children’s clothing, are being solicited. Children love playing dress-up and costumes are used for imaginative play. Dress-up encourages creative thinking, boosts social skills, and assists in language development.
Beginning  the “Costume & Clothing Collection” will be run year-round. Donations may be dropped off outside the office, M-F 9:00am – 6:00pm. For more information, please reach out to Sophia at 714-390-3442 or America at 602-399-2714

Welcome & Connection Lunch // APR 07

If you’ve been coming to church or checking us out online and are looking to meet some of our staff, hear more about what who we are, or how to get connected, we would love to invite you to our Welcome and Connection Lunch on Sunday, April 07th after the 10:30 service in the Student Center. This is a great next step on your faith journey and will help you to see all that God is doing here at Wilshire Ave and how to get connected.

Rooted Class // Starting  April 14th

Rooted is a 10 week small group experience that helps people to grow in their relationship with God. It covers topics such as, Who is God,  What is the Holy Spirit,  How do I study the Bible, Prayer and other essentials of our faith. This is a great class if you are new to Wilshire or even if you have been around a while but never gone through Rooted, you will get something out of it.
The Rooted class will take place here at Wilshire Avenue on Sunday mornings from 9:00 am-10:15 am at the Student Center starting on Sunday, April 14th.

Sunday Morning OPS Team

We have been having more and more new people joining us here at Wilshire Avenue and we are looking for more warm and friendly faces to help us at our Sunday morning services.

  • Greeters: Arrive 15-20 min early- 9AM & 10:30AM Service (If they cant make it contact the office by Friday at 4PM or Mark’s Cell by Sat at Noon)
  • Ushers :  Arrive 15-20 min early- 9AM & 10:30AM Service
  • New to Wilshire Table: After 9AM & 10:30AM Service (Exit WC after the last song)
  • Safety Team: 15 min early
  • Tech Team : cameras, slides, stage hands (setting up and cleaning up sound equipment before and after each service)

Get Connected to a Life Group

Our Life groups at Wilshire Avenue are a great way to get connected and grow together with others in your journey with Christ.  We have groups that meet on different days and times throughout the week and would love to help get you connected to a group that works for you.  We will begin sign ups on Sunday, August 28th and we encourage you to stop by the Start Here booth on the plaza to meet some of the leaders and sign up for a group.  You can also sign up at www.wilshireave.com/groups!

Reading program at OC United

One of our amazing partners OC United is looking for volunteers to help read with children in their United Kids program.  If you are interested in volunteering,  you can fill out an application at www.ocunited.org/volunteer or email Karen at karene@ocunited.org

Colombia Church Plant

God is doing amazing things at the church we helped plant in Colombia. The building is currently under construction but that hasn’t stopped the believers there. The church is making a difference in the community and meeting under a tree to worship and have service. Please continue to pray for Colombia as their COVID numbers have increased recently.
