August Food Bank Needs: We are so thankful for all the support of so many people for our food bank.  This month we are in need of donations of canned fruit.  All donations can be brought to the bins outside of the office during the week or on Sunday mornings.  Thank you so much for all your support.

We would love for your students to serve on Sundays! Here are some ways to help:
tech team, worship team, hospitality, WA Kids, nursery, Jr. High room, coffee, and the social media team. Please email us if they are interested.

Young Adults // Mondays, 6:30PM

We want to help you connect with God, the church, and each other. Join us Monday nights for a time to connect, have dinner together and worship God. (Ages 18-30)

Save the Date : Man Camp // Sep 29 – Oct 01

Want to get away? Thousand Pines Men’s Retreat is the place for you! During this weekend, we will not: overload your schedule, count your calories, or ask you to mow the lawn. What we will do is provide you with gourmet meals boasting choice meats, opportunities for spiritual growth and fellowship with godly men, and an open schedule to just let you be. So grab a couple friends or your whole church and we’ll provide the bacon! More Information to come.

Get Connected to a Life Group 

Our Life groups at Wilshire Avenue are a great way to get connected and grow together with others in your journey with Christ.  We have groups that meet on different days and times throughout the week and would love to help get you connected to a group that works for you.  We will begin sign ups on Sunday, August 28th and we encourage you to stop by the Start Here booth on the plaza to meet some of the leaders and sign up for a group.  You can also sign up at www.wilshireave.com/groups!

Be A Difference Maker

There are so many ways for you to make a difference both here at Wilshire and in our community. On Sunday mornings you can help us with set up, tear down and part of our connection team. Or during the week you can help us prepare for Sunday mornings in many different ways. We also have opportunities to serve in the community. If you’re interested we would love to have you join the team and see what God can do through you. Sunday Morning Welcome Team

Living Hope Small Group Experience // Thursdays

Thursdays // 7:00pm

This is a small group experience that will guide you through simple biblical and neuroscience insights and give you tools to reduce the symptoms and challenges with trauma and or PTSD.  Topics will include: Stress and Trauma, Renewing Your Mind, Routine and Control, Managing Stressors, Healing Guilt and Shame, Safe and Healthy Relationships and more.  All are welcome to attend.  Small group will be at Wilshire Avenue Community Church on Thursdays at 7:00 pm starting on Thursday, August 10th.  For questions or more information, please contact Dave Dicken at (909) 322-5977

Colombia Church Plant

God is doing amazing things at the church we helped plant in Colombia. The building is currently under construction but that hasn’t stopped the believers there. The church is making a difference in the community and meeting under a tree to worship and have service. Please continue to pray for Colombia as their COVID numbers have increased recently.
